Privacy Policy
OtoSee Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 6, 2026
OtoSee is an iOS app provided by TCool LTD for viewing compatible Wi-Fi otoscope and inspection cameras and creating inspection records. This Privacy Policy explains what information OtoSee processes and the choices available to you.
Summary
OtoSee is designed to work without an account, advertising, or third-party behavioral analytics. Camera images, videos, inspection labels, annotations, written notes, voice notes, narrated videos, and PDF reports are stored locally on your device by default. OtoSee does not automatically upload this content to TCool LTD.
Information processed on your device
OtoSee may process and store the following information locally:
- photos and videos received from a compatible camera;
- inspection titles, optional subject names, summaries, left/right/general labels, part tags, and media notes;
- image annotations and before-and-after comparison settings;
- microphone recordings that you create as voice notes;
- narrated MP4 files and PDF reports generated at your request;
- compatible-device information such as product identifier, manufacturer, model, firmware information, local network interface details, and Wi-Fi network name when available to the app;
- app settings, onboarding status, cached subscription entitlement, and pending upgrade intent; and
- connection diagnostics and technical errors used to explain camera or storage failures.
This information is used only to provide the app’s viewing, recording, inspection, export, purchase, recovery, and troubleshooting features.
Permissions
OtoSee requests permissions only when needed:
- Local Network allows the app to discover and communicate with a compatible camera on the Wi-Fi network you joined.
- Microphone allows you to record optional voice notes and create narrated videos.
- Photos — Add Only allows you to save a selected photo or video to your Photos library. OtoSee does not request permission to browse your entire Photos library.
You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Denying an optional permission disables the related feature but does not cause OtoSee to upload your content.
Purchases
OtoSee may offer Inspection Pro as an auto-renewable subscription. Apple processes purchases, payment methods, storefront information, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. OtoSee receives StoreKit product information and verified purchase or entitlement status so it can display localized offers and unlock eligible features. TCool LTD does not receive or store your full payment-card details through the app.
Sharing and exported copies
OtoSee shares content only when you choose an export or system sharing action. The iOS share sheet may send selected photos, videos, audio, comparison images, or PDF reports to an app, person, device, or service you select. Those recipients and services handle the shared copies under their own terms and privacy practices.
Copies saved to Photos or Files are controlled separately from OtoSee. They may sync through Apple services according to your device and iCloud settings. App data may also be included in an Apple-managed device backup according to your backup settings. TCool LTD does not operate those Apple services.
Diagnostics and support
OtoSee does not automatically send camera media, voice notes, subject names, or inspection notes to TCool LTD. If you choose to share a diagnostic log or contact support, we receive only the information you decide to provide. Before sending a log, review it and remove anything you do not want to share.
Support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support history, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Website access
When you open this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, your browser loads a page from tcool.ltd. The site is hosted through GitHub Pages and loads presentation resources through content-delivery and font providers, including Cloudflare’s cdnjs, Google’s WebFont loader, and Google Fonts. These providers may receive standard technical request information, such as IP address, browser user agent, requested resource, referring page, and request time, under their own privacy practices. OtoSee does not use these legal-page visits for behavioral advertising.
Advertising, analytics, and data sales
OtoSee does not contain advertising, does not use third-party behavioral analytics, and does not sell personal information. OtoSee does not use inspection or health-related content for advertising, marketing profiles, or data-broker purposes.
Data retention and deletion
App content remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app, subject to any device backups you control.
- You can delete individual media items and inspection records in OtoSee.
- Deleting an inspection can remove its derived files; deletion of referenced original media requires a separate confirmation.
- Copies exported to Photos, Files, another app, another device, or another person must be deleted from those destinations separately.
- Uninstalling OtoSee removes its local app container according to iOS behavior, but does not remove copies previously exported elsewhere or retained in a device backup.
If you previously contacted us, you may request deletion of the personal information contained in your support correspondence by emailing the address below. We may retain limited records where required for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Children’s privacy
OtoSee is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian may use the app to make an observation record for a child, but should enter only information necessary for that purpose and remains responsible for any content they create or share. We do not knowingly collect children’s inspection content through an OtoSee server because the app does not automatically upload inspection records to us.
Health and medical information
Ear images and related notes may be sensitive. OtoSee processes this content locally and does not connect to HealthKit or an electronic health-record service. OtoSee is an observation and recordkeeping tool, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when OtoSee, its data practices, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
