Rotation Fix: Force Landscape Privacy Policy

Rotation Fix: Force Landscape is an Android utility that lets you control screen orientation globally or with rules for individual apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles.

Information the app uses

Rotation Fix processes its settings locally on your device. These settings may include your selected orientation, whether rotation control is active, saved per-app rules, optional system-rotation fallback preferences, onboarding status, and cached Google Play purchase entitlement.

The app does not require an account and does not collect, sell, or share personal information with us.

Display over other apps

Rotation Fix uses Android’s Display over other apps permission to create a transparent, non-touchable overlay that requests the orientation selected by the user. The overlay does not read, record, modify, or cover content displayed by other apps.

Usage Access

Usage Access is optional and is needed only for per-app rotation rules. When enabled, Rotation Fix checks which app is currently in the foreground so it can apply the rule you created for that app. Foreground-app information is processed locally and is not transmitted to us.

Foreground service and notifications

While rotation control is active, Rotation Fix uses an Android foreground service and displays an ongoing notification. This allows the user-requested orientation to remain active while you switch between apps. You can stop the service and restore normal Android rotation from the app or its Quick Settings tile.

System settings

The optional system-rotation fallback may use Android’s Modify system settings permission. Before making a change, Rotation Fix records the relevant rotation values locally and restores them when rotation control stops.

Purchases

Rotation Fix may offer an optional one-time Lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play. Google Play processes the transaction under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Network access and advertising

The app uses network access only when communicating with Google Play Billing to retrieve product and purchase information. Rotation Fix does not contain advertising or third-party behavioral analytics.

Sharing and retention

We do not operate a server-side database for Rotation Fix app data. App preferences and rules remain on your device. Removing the app clears its locally stored data according to Android behavior.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide and use it only to respond and maintain reasonable support records.

Children’s privacy

Rotation Fix is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before the affected functionality is released.
